Pyronin Y (PY) Solution Application

Pyronin Y(G) (PY) is a dye used for DNA staining. PY has orange spectral emission that is easily distinguishable from FITC and 7-AAD.

Components Require

The following components are required to prepare 1L of Pyronin Y (PY) Solution.

Pyronin Y (PY) Solution Preparation

  1. Prepare 800 mL of distilled water in a suitable container.
  2. Add 1 g of Pyronin Y(G) (PY) (Polysciences, Inc.) to the solution.
  3. Add distilled water until volume is 1 L.
  4. Store at 4°C protected from light.
