What kind of cells need cell replication of their telomeres?

Actively dividing cells, such as stem cells, germ cells, and certain immune cells, need telomere replication to maintain their ability to divide. Without telomere maintenance, these cells would experience telomere shortening, limiting their replication potential and leading to senescence.
