The Beer-Lambert Law, also known as the Beer–Bouguer–Lambert Law, is an empirical relationship that describes how the absorption of light by a medium is related to the properties of the medium and the path length through which the light travels. It quantifies the attenuation of light as it passes through an absorbing substance.
