Rhizosphere microflora includes all microbial life forms, especially bacteria and fungi, that inhabit the root-influenced soil zone. These organisms perform key ecological roles such as decomposing organic matter, fixing nitrogen, solubilizing phosphorus, and producing phytohormones. The microflora is more diverse and active in the rhizosphere compared to bulk soil due to root exudation.
