How to read a serological pipette?

To read a serological pipette accurately, hold the pipette vertically at eye level. Look at the meniscus, which is the curved surface of the liquid, and align the bottom of the meniscus with the graduation mark on the pipette. The liquid level should correspond precisely with the graduation marks for accurate measurement. If using a pipette for dispensing, ensure the entire amount of liquid has been expelled from the pipette, and consider any residual liquid in the tip.
