How much ATP produced in Krebs cycle?
Answered
In a single turn of the Krebs cycle, 1 GTP (or ATP) is produced by substrate-level phosphorylation. Additionally, 3 NADH generate about 7.5 ATP and 1 FADH₂ yields about 1.5 ATP through the electron transport chain. The combined total per cycle is around 10 ATP equivalents, and 20 ATP equivalents per glucose molecule since each glucose yields two acetyl-CoA molecules.
