How many ATP does the Krebs cycle yield?

The Krebs cycle yields approximately 10 ATP equivalents per turn. This includes 1 GTP (or ATP) produced directly through substrate-level phosphorylation, as well as the ATP generated indirectly from the reduced cofactors NADH and FADH₂. Since each glucose molecule leads to two turns of the cycle, the total yield per glucose molecule is approximately 20 ATP equivalents.
