How many ATP does Krebs cycle produce?

Each turn of the Krebs cycle produces 1 GTP (or ATP) directly via substrate-level phosphorylation. The reduced cofactors NADH and FADH₂ also contribute to ATP generation in the electron transport chain, adding up to 10 ATP equivalents per cycle. Since two turns of the cycle occur per glucose molecule, the total ATP produced from the Krebs cycle is about 20 ATP.
