How many ATP are produced from Krebs cycle?

Each turn of the Krebs cycle produces 1 GTP (or ATP) directly through substrate-level phosphorylation. Additionally, NADH and FADH₂ produced in the cycle contribute to ATP production in the electron transport chain, yielding a total of approximately 10 ATP equivalents per turn. Therefore, for each glucose molecule (which produces two acetyl-CoA), the Krebs cycle can produce a total of about 20 ATP equivalents.
