The phases of mitosis in skin cells are the same as in other cells: 1. Prophase: Chromosomes condense, spindle fibers form, and the nuclear envelope breaks down. 2. Metaphase: Chromosomes align at the cell’s center. 3. Anaphase: Chromatids separate and move to opposite poles. 4. Telophase: Chromosomes de-condense, and new nuclear envelopes form around each set of chromosomes.
