- Xylem: Conducts water and dissolved nutrients from the roots to the rest of the plant and provides structural support.
- Phloem: Transports sugars and other metabolic products from the leaves to other parts of the plant.
- Vascular cambium: Produces secondary xylem and secondary phloem, facilitating secondary growth.
- Epidermis: Protects the plant’s outer surface and helps in gas exchange and water retention.
