No, glycolysis does not directly produce acetyl-CoA. However, pyruvate, the end product of glycolysis, is transported into the mitochondria where it is converted into acetyl-CoA before entering the citric acid cycle, if oxygen is present. This conversion is part of aerobic respiration.
