Codon Wheel Explorer

This interactive Codon Wheel Explorer tool lets users visually decode mRNA codons into their corresponding amino acids using a stepwise circular interface. It supports both codon selection and reverse lookup from amino acids to matching codons.

Instructions

• Click on the inner ring to pick the first RNA base.
• Next, choose the second base from the middle ring.
• Select the third base from the outer ring to complete a codon.
• The codon’s corresponding amino acid will be shown below.
• Use the “Switch to Reverse” button to toggle to amino acid → codons mode.
• In reverse mode, select an amino acid from the dropdown to see all its matching codons.
• Click “Switch to Codon Wheel” to return to the interactive wheel mode.
