Enzyme Kinetics Analyzer

Enzyme Kinetics Analyzer

This enzyme kinetics calculator is a web-based tool that allows users to analyze enzyme activity by fitting experimental data to Michaelis–Menten and Lineweaver–Burk models. It's designed for students, biochemists, and researchers studying enzyme-substrate interactions.

The user can input substrate concentrations (in mM) and initial reaction velocities (V₀ in μmol/min) to evaluate important enzyme kinetic parameters like Vmax, Km, and kcat. Optionally, enzyme concentration (μM) can be provided to calculate turnover number (kcat).

Key features of this tool include:

  • Easy input of experimental [S] and V₀ data sets
  • Automatic nonlinear regression fitting using Michaelis–Menten equation
  • Lineweaver–Burk double reciprocal transformation support
  • Graph plotting with interactive display and export to PNG
  • Sample data and reset options for quick testing and demonstration

The tool outputs fitted parameters with stepwise interpretation, showing how the data is processed, how the regression is applied, and how final values are derived. Users can view kinetic behavior through customizable graphs to interpret saturation kinetics, enzyme efficiency, and inhibition models.

This analyzer makes it easier to visualize enzyme-substrate behavior, compare experimental conditions, and understand the principles of enzyme catalysis in biochemical studies.
